3 Easy, Breezy Summer Looks for the Office

One thing I do miss about working the 9 to 5 is getting dolled up and dressed for work every day. The fact that you can literally work in PJ’s gets old pretty fast! Even though I stopped doing that awhile ago, it still doesn’t make sense to wear work trousers and pumps in my home office (though my daughter would love to smear her dirty fingers on something so pretty!)

So for this post, I’m pretending I can and addressing the problem of dressing professionally for the office. Yes, it’s way too hot to wear a three piece suit and tights, however shorts and a tank isn’t appropriate either. So what’s a girl to do?

It’s all about channeling the bright colors of summer. Sheath dresses, tailored pants, midi skirts – all of the typical workplace staples can be summer worthy with the right colors. There are so many options to choose from, with statement accessories making the fashion pot even sweeter. Office wear should never be boring or stifle your style.

Just check out these three looks.

White dresses are right up there with denim shorts and maxi dresses when it comes to summer fashion. But, if you’re fashionista like me, you don’t want to wear any old summer white dress. You want one that screams style through interesting cuts, tailored fits, and girly details. You want that dress that can make a statement just as cute and bold as the rest of the colorful ones.

So where do you look?

Right here! I did all the heavy Googling for you.  You’re welcome. ;)

10 Plus Size Swimsuits for a Fiercely Fashionable Summer

I’m not gonna lie, swimsuit shopping is not one of my favorite things to do. Trying to find something that’s not only cute but comes in my size and can support my girls is not always easy. And if you’re on a budget, it can be even harder! I was crazy lucky to score one similar to this one from Maxine of Hollywood at Burlington, when I was in a pinch and needed something to wear for my daughter’s swim class. That was a one a million purchase and unless you have plenty of time scour the racks of your favorite outlet stores, you’re gonna have to invest.

I’ve splurged on swimsuits before and if you find the right one, it’s like a little black dress, it can last for many seasons to come!

Does that mean you have to shell out money for a frumpy looking swimsuit because you wear something bigger than a size 12? Absolutely not!

I did the searching for you and found 10 fierce swimsuits that will make you feel like a total beach diva!

Gorgeous Wedding Dresses Under $400

When I started planning my wedding over four years ago, one of the first things I started shopping for was my dress. It was the thing that just had to be absolutely perfect. I spent hours collecting pictures and when I walked into the Alfred Angelo store I was armed and ready to go. Little did I know that the dress I had to be talked into trying on became the dress. But when your girl saw the price tag – can we say major sticker shock. So I left the store empty handed only to walk back in three months later when the store told me the dress was on a major sale.

I totally lucked out when it came to my dress because spending almost a $1,000 for a dress did not jive with the budget friendly wedding I was putting together. And if you were like me and started your dress shopping, you already know that the prices for bridal wear can be a real wallet buster.

That’s what inspired today’s post. I rounded up eight affordable and beautiful dresses that are completely aisle worthy.
