Fierce Fashion: Summer 2013 Collection from IGIGI

When it comes to fierce and fabulous plus size fashion, IGIGI is definitely one of the first brands that come to mind.  There one of the few brands that I not only keep up with but have a hard time finding something I don’t like!  Not only do they know how to dress for curves they keep us girls who have big “girls” in mind, something that frustrates me when dress shopping.  Though my wallet hasn’t caught up to my love for IGIGI, I did have the opportunity to wear one of their dresses awhile back and it just sealed the deal – they look just as good on you as they do online.

Their collections don’t disappoint and their new summer 2013 Collection Into the Blue is no exception.  I wouldn’t mind rocking any one of these dresses!

My Style Pick-Me-Ups

As I write this, I’m working off of a few hours of sleep (for the 3rd night this week), dealing with achy everything, and moving around at the speed of Grandma.  Normally when I have a day even remotely like this, I can chug a good cup of coffee, take a great nap, or take a stroll in my favorite store.  However, none of those agree with this preggo body so I have to look for other things to keep my spirits up.

Thank goodness for blogging!

Seriously, being involved in this community is an awesome distraction from the daily discomfort and help me endure those “bleh” days.  From my Google Reader to my daily shopping emails, I can manage or smile or transport myself to my pre-preggo days and just enjoy the beauty and fashion finds I see.

Here are just some of things that put a smile of my face :)

Yes, I’m still obsessing over shoes!  It’s so crazy because I’ve never been a really big shoe person.  I guess a pair of swollen ankles and not being able to see your toes when you look straight down will do that to you!

This is a new one for me too.  It’s not that I never like dresses, but I always preferred to rock a great pair of pants.  Now, dresses have been my saving grace and I realized that I need to get more of them in my life! Nothing super complicated but rather something that is so easy to wear while looking chic at the same time!

The Color Pink

I’m having a girl so I’m totally obsessed with the color pink. There’s nothing wrong with mommy and daughter matching, right?

Bold Makeup Looks

Ya’ll know how I love my makeup, especially my eyeshadows so no big shocker here!  Don’t get me wrong, I loved the trends that this summer brought in but I’m excited to see what the Fall season has in store.

Fierce Fashion: Maxi Dresses Anyone?

What has become a must have for me as the weather gets warmer are maxi dresses (for obvious reasons!)  and that’s all I’ve had my eye on lately. The more flow and color they have the better and you can’t beat the comfort factor either!  I also love the fact that can be dressed up with heels and fierce jewelry or dressed down with some cute flats.  This year is all about versatility for me as well as looking cute and not melting!

Fierce OOTD: The Prom Edition

My weekends have been pretty busy lately!  Last weekend I celebrated mother’s day with the most awesome mom in the world and had to feature her on the blog.  This weekend was my little sister’s prom and let me tell you, I felt SUPER old!  I was 12 years old when she came to the world so I remember vividly every first thing she had!  We are super duper close and I’m feeling the mommy pride/sadness that she’ll be going away to college this summer.  I’m very proud of her and I’m so glad I got to be a big part of her night! (The hubby and I drove her to prom in his Mustang.  Had to made sure my baby arrived in style!)

She picked out her dress and I must say she did an awesome job!  I loved the fact that it was so different form your normal dresses.  The short hem in the front let’s her show off her fabulous shoes while the train the back still gives it a gown-type feeling.  There’s nothing hanging out, it’s not overly sexy, and she will have no problem dancing all night! The color was perfect on her and the dress can totally be worn for another event later on down the road.

So here is Miss Diva and all her glory!
