Have you done the challenge?  What have you learned?

Outfit 30 of 30: I’m Done!!!

Holy cow!  I didn’t even think I would make it half way through, let alone make it to the end!  I’ll talk  more about my feelings about the challenge in my recap post Monday but for now I can say that although I had a ton of fun with this remix challenge, I am also happy that’s it’s over!

I wanted my last outfit to be super creative, wanting to go out with this challenge with a bang – but I think the remix fatigue finally sunk in so this last outfit isn’t spectacular.  It is a remix though because I’ve never paired this shirt with this pants, so at least I’m keeping with the theme!

Outfit 29 of 30: Scarves Are My Friend

Since I started this challenge, I never wore scarves.  I wanted to but had no idea how to incorporate them into my outfits, especially the way my fellow fashionistas have in their outfit posts!  But now, I’m getting the hang of it, getting me dig out this navy blue scarf I’ve had forever.  I actually “borrowed” this from my mom, who has a ton of scarves that she used to wear back in the day (guess I didn’t inherit those scarf-wearing genes!)  I just tied around my neck, like a tie almost and I thought it was pretty cute, especially since it’s short.  In the future I want to get pattern ones this length, so it can make my plain shirts even more snazzy!

Outfit 28 of 30: What Works For the Skirt Can Work for the Trousers

With this one, I took a cue from this past remix by just switching out the skirt for my trousers.  I got the same slimming effect from before and it also gave one of my fav cardigans a more professional look.  The only difference is, I could’ve used a belt, preferably the skinny one.  I think that would’ve gave the outfit the finishing touch it needed. I looked all over that morning for it only to find two days later – when I didn’t need it!

Go figure.

Outfit 27 of 30: This Remix is Husband Approved

After taking photos in this outfit before leaving work, my husband stopped me, asking me why I was so dressed up today.  I looked at him really weird. To me, this wasn’t dressy at all!  Different, yes because I never wore this combination to work before. So after he laughs at the look at gave me (my face can say it all sometimes!) he told me he liked it.  Then a few days later he mentioned again how much he liked this outfit.

It’s official.  This outfit is husband approved!

Not bad for coming down the homestretch!
