If you checked out any of the Spring runway shows last month, one of the biggest makeup trends was the no makeup trend (go figure!). It was all about flawless and radiant skin and even this makeup junkie can get down with that! To be honest, some mornings just aren’t made for a completely creative and colorful look. Sometimes I just need to look put together and look like I get 8 hours of sleep every day. And if that’s going to be a hot trend, there’s no reason to wait until the Spring of 2015 to start rocking it.
That’s why this was the perfect time to take the CC+ Radiance Palette from It Cosmetics for a test drive. It comes complete with everything you need to make your beautiful skin even more gorgeous – brightening powder, bronzer, and blush. All of them have color-correcting pigments to help even out skin tone for a very natural look.
After applying my primer and foundation, I applied a little bit brightening powder under my eyes and the tops of my cheeks. It brightens up my face just as well as my concealer without looking too white or ashy. It also gave my skin a matte finish that I always need in my life while minimizing the appearance of my pores. For those of you who want a fuller coverage, the powder can be used all over.
Next up was the bronzer, which is the same shade of brown as my pressed powder. I swept that all over my t-zone, paying attention to where the light hits my nose and chin, as that tends to be the shiniest parts of my face. It kept the matte-finish party going, giving my complexion a warm glow. If you’re one who loves contouring, you can sweep the bronzer under your cheekbones, along your jawline and under your chin for a cool, slimming effect.
If I was in the mood, I would apply the blush, a peachy pink type color to my cheeks. You can see hints of it on my skin but unfortunately didn’t show up as well as my cream ones do.
Overall, I was very impressed with this palette and how well it worked not only with my skin type but skin tone. When I’m in a rush and need to look like a person quickly, this is definitely my saving grace.
