My philosophy when it came to my skincare is: the thicker the better. My skin has a major tendency to get dry. It’s the reason why I ditched bar soaps and opt for thick and creamy lotions as daily moisturizers. I’ve passed by a ton of body oils in the many beauty aisles I stalk stroll through on a regular basis and never thought they would be a right fit for this skin. I admit I was little skeptical when the people at Jergen’s reached out to me to try out their new Shea Beauty Oil. Was an oil strong enough to tackle the dryness and keep it that way all day long? There was only one way to find out.
But first, a little bit about this beauty oil. Infused Shea Butter and Argan oil, this total body oil promises to hydrate and condition skin leaving it six times more radiant. Once you step out of the shower, you spray a little in your hand and apply it to your damp skin. You don’t need to drown yourself in it, the oil thin enough to cover a lot of skin in each application.
One concern I had was that it would take forever to dry, leaving my skin greasy. However the Shea Beauty Oil did quite the opposite. By the time I finished, the oil already absorbed into my skin leaving it so soft and smelling amazing! There wasn’t a dry patch of skin in sight, my body just as moisturized as it is when I use lotion. Even better, my skin stayed that way all day long, through my crazy toddler filled days and all!
Jergen’s has made me an oil convert, along with a few other people around here!
