Before I get into today’s review, this week was all kinds of crazy for me (hence the radio silence over here). Your girl had to get some things in order and get her head on straight after a few curve balls. But I’m happy to say I’m much better now and ready to get back into the swing of things.
Today’s review is courtesy of Influenster’s Sally Hansen Total Knock Out VoxBox, packed with three Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish shades. With a Flawless Finish Brush you get:
- A Base Coat
- A Nail Strengthener
- A Growth Treatment
- Chip Resistant Color
- A Top Coat
- A Gel Shine Finish
Now you ladies know I’m not a big fan of doing my own manicures, leaving that beauty task to the professionals. When I read that this polish can do the things that would normally require a few different products, I was very interested!
After trying out all three, I must say I was very impressed!
For the nail painting challenged (like me!) the brush is super easy to use and gave great coverage. I tend to make a mess when I do paint my nails and because the brush was so good, the polish remover clean up that I always do afterwards was kept to a minimum.
Jaded gives a very soft and sheer color to your nails, requiring almost three coats to get the depth of the color I like in my mani’s. I was a little iffy about the color at first but once I was done it grew on me and I’m ready to try them on my toes!
Red my Lips is my favorite polish out of the three. You can really see the shiny gel finish and all you need are two coats to get the job done. It also looks great against my skin.
Since I’m not a fan of black polish, I didn’t want to paint all my nails with the third bottle Pat on the Black so I decided to use them as decoration on my red nails. Using a dried out pen tip, I made little polka dots on every other nail to add some fun to my polish. Not bad for a nail art newbie!
The biggest test was how long the polish is going to last. Having a toddler, I’m constantly washing dishes, my hands, and clothes. A manicure for me never lasts more than three days with all that hot water. With this polish, I was able to stretch it out to five before having to remove it (which is a record in my book!)
Have you tried out this polish from Sally Hansen? What did you think?
