Fierce OOTD: Gold is the New Black

It’s so crazy where we draw inspiration from sometimes!  When I saw this shirt on Bank Fashion, the first thing that came to mind was the new season promo from Shahs of Sunset.  My best friend somehow got me hooked on the show when she came to visit last year and it’s now on my long list of guilty pleasures!  Anyway, in the commercial everyone and everything is in gold, down to the swimming pool.  It was so over the top, but what can you expect from reality TV?

Printed Coral Shorts: Sear’s Outlet / Brown Wedge Sandals: Soda / Gold Plated Earrings: Forever 21 / Brown Aviator Shades: Old / Beaded Bracelet: Old

This tee from Only Denim is soft and light, with a slightly longer hem in the back.  It also has a really slim fit, especially for an X-large.  But it was the perfect fit for these printed coral printed shorts.  In the spirit of Shah’s I completed the look with super high wedges, big plated earrings, and Reza inspired aviators. Yeah, it’s totally a summer look but with 80 degree temps, it’s still hard to think winter sometimes!

Tummy Control Plus Size Jeans: Style & Co / Brown Shoes: Dillards / Coral Scarf: K-Mart / Feather Earrings: Aldo / Beaded Bracelet: Old

For the second look I went for the classic t-shirt and jeans route, keeping things interesting with accessories.  These jeans are by far the best fitting jeans I have since having my daughter.  I’ve been smack dab in the middle of a 16 and 18.  A 16 fits my legs but squishes my post-baby tummy.  An 18 accommodates it but leaves me swimming everywhere else. This pair I scored at Macy’s is a 16W with a tummy control panel that keeps slims beautifully.  Not only do they help me look good, they are crazy comfortable!  I just couldn’t let the color coral go throwing on one of my favorite scarves.  And who can resist long, feather earrings?  They add so much fun to an outfit. ;)
