It’s been almost four months since I had the little one and I’m realizing my wardrobe is going to need some adjustments. I’ve been really, really lucky the baby weight hasn’t stuck around and despite a few places that need some extra toning, I am really love my body right now (OMG, did I just say that??!) This body has been through a whole lot and my lifestyle has completely changed. My corporate office is now my kitchen table so there’s no need for the fancy trousers and cute blouses every day. But I still need to get want to get dressed because I’m taking the whole working in my PJ’s just a bit too far! I also spend my days with my princess in my arms who loves to spit up all over her mom, so frequent wardrobe changes is the story of my life.

Old Navy Sweetheart Bootcut Jeans
Jeans
I saved one pair of jeans from my smaller days a few years ago. About 3 weeks after I came home from the hospital, I humored myself and tried them on. OMG, they fit perfectly while my regular jeans are just way too big. So I happily gave them all away and now I’m on the hunt for new ones. Besides the fact that I love denim, they are baby friendly and really easy to dress up or down. Versatility is the name of the game now folks!
Where to Shop: Old Navy as always been my go-to spot for affordable jeans, especially when they’re on sale. I’m also really feeling their colored pants, too!
Vanity Fair Elegance Full Coverage Bra
Bras
For those of you who haven’t had kids yet, I’ll forewarn you – chances are when you do have kids, your “girls” will not be in the shape they’re in now. So if there’s ever a time in your life when you really need to invest in a good bra, it’s post baby. It doesn’t matter what you wear, a great bra will make you feel like a million bucks.
Where to Shop: JCPenny has great selections from Bali and Vanity Fair in my hard-to-find size in store. Even better, they have ridiculous sales going on all the time, so I don’t spend an arm and leg on them either.
Color Block Cutout Wedge Heels
Shoes
As much as I love my platform shoes and 3+ inch heels, a girl has to be realistic. Carrying (or running after!) a baby in crazy heels could spell disaster! So I have to tone down my future shoe purchases and go with stylish wedges and cute flats that I can easily slip on and off.
Where to Shop: Charlotte Russe, Ross, and Zappos are some of my favorite shoe spots. Right now I’m all about getting a good deal and these places are very gentle on my wallet.
Victoria Secret Velour Classic Pants
Stylish Lounge Pants
I never really invested much time in getting cute play clothes because frankly, I was hardly ever home. Now that I am on top of running around doing more errands, I want to get some fitted, super cute, and so-comfy-I-can-nap-in lounge pants. I could go with ones that have a little flare at the bottom or even a trendy saying along the sides of the s legs (nothing on the butt though. I passed that stage in life!)
Where to Shop: I really want a couple of pairs from Victoria Secret’s Pink collection. I’m keep my eye out for some sales.

FASHION TALES
/ January 27, 2013These are two things that I care greatly about: denim and a great fitting bra! And, take me some time when acquiring them. For denim it may take me hours to find a good pair, but when I do I buy like two at a time, lol, Those bold wedge heels are up my ally! xo/Madison

/ January 27, 2013Even though I can’t relate to this because I don’t have kids (nor do I plan on getting pregnant) I definitely like a good bra, and denim, and loungewear!

/ January 24, 2013I’m really craving some wedges too but I’m holding off on all purchases of clothing and shoes because I REALLY want to get rid of these last 25 pounds!

/ January 24, 2013Girl I hear you! If I wasn’t so low on clothes that fit, I would wait to lose the rest of this baby weight.
