Music + Fashion: End of Time by Beyonce

Before fashion and beauty played a role in my life, music has been one of my very first loves.  From dance classes as a kid to hosting a radio station in college, it’s always been a huge part of my life.  I’m the resident DJ when it comes to family functions and even as I write this, I’m jamming out.  It helps me celebrate a good day, get over a bad one, and keeps me focused on my work.

Last year I had the pleasure of guest posting on Beautifully Invisible, where I brought together my standing love for music and my newfound passion for fashion by designing outfits based on a few of my favorite songs.  In an effort to give you guys new and unique content I decided not only to do that again, but make it a regular feature here!

Today I chose End of Time off of Beyonce’s latest album.  I admire the fact that she came off her two year hiatus with a fresh take on her music and wasn’t afraid to take chances in her work.  This song is one of my favorites, with a hard hitting beat and wonderful expressions of love in her words.  When I listen to this song, what came to mind was a military inspired look, the drumbeat reminiscent of that of a drum major while keeping it Beyonce sexy with black skirt and heels.   I just had to include this Balmain military jacket because Bey has one after all!

End of Time Beyonce

  1. Balmain Military Jacket
  2. Estabrook leather-trimmed wool-blend mini skirt
  3. MICHAEL Michael Kors Rock N Roll Booties
  4. Tory Burch Large Stud Earrings
  5. Kardashian Kollection Large Sequin Clutch Purse

Let me know what you guys think!  I’m also open to song suggest ions!  If there is a song you want me to style, let me know in comments, on Twitter, or the new Fierce Facebook page (by the way, have you Liked me yet?)
