As we always do on FBFF around this time is talk about the things we are thankful for. This couldn’t come at a better time for me. It forces me to take a time out and focus on all the positive things that I have going on in my life. It’s so easy to get caught up in the grind with that tunnel vision where the only thing you see are the goals you’ve set for yourself. There’s nothing wrong with being focused but like I said in my last outfit post, you have to enjoy the journey and be thankful for what you have already. I’ve had some major hurdles to overcome this week alone and it honestly shook my foundation a little bit. So I’m really thankful for blogging memes like this one that make me pause, smile, and be grateful.
I’m thankful for:
Having a husband that knows how to cook (and loves to do it!). That in itself is a non-culinary girl’s dream. No matter what kind of day I’m having, it’s wonderful to come home to an awesome meal at the end of my day.
My jeggings. Lord knows I’ve been having a hard time maintaining my weight lately and these babies proved to be very necessary not only for my closet but the impending holidays. Thank you elastic waist!
My new home. I literally walk around my house all the time and just thank the Man above for blessing my husband and I with such a wonderful place. It was worth all the headaches and penny pinching that we had to do and I appreciate it every time I walk through my front door. It also taught me that many times you have to go through some crazy stuff to get what you want and in the end all of it was worth it.
Pandora. I need music to get me through my days and it always knows the right things to play for me. Thank you Pandora!
My mom’s thrift store skills. When it comes to home décor, my mom has my tastes down to a science and she’s scored so many awesome things for me (like my tripod for $5!) at garage sales and thrift stores it’s insane!
Cheesecake. Whoever invented it should get the Nobel Prize. It’s always brings peace into my world.
My Blogging girls. I never would’ve thought that this space would help meet and become friends with such kind, talented, and just plain awesome ladies around! (Ya’ll know you who you are!)
For the extra storage in my bathroom. My beauty product collection is growing by the second and it will take awhile before it starts overflowing into my bedroom like it did at my last place!
Dreams. They keep us going even when we’re in the darkest of times. It knows how to pull us out of a pity party and talk us out of giving up. I will forever be grateful for those.
What are some of the things you’re thankful for?
