Friend Friday – And the FBFF Award Goes To….

We have such a cool concept going on for this Friend Friday!  We get to show our love for one another and nominate our favorite bloggers in certain categories.  Once the responses are rallied up, we’ll have finalists to vote on.  It’s not the Academy Awards but it is a great way to give back to the bloggers who brighten up your day when you visit their blogs!  Trust me I had such a hard time choosing because my Google Reader is insanely long!  But I pushed through and here are my nominations!

Creative Juices – most creative

Suze from Miss Vinyl Ahoy

She already knows I call her the Queen of colors and mixing patterns.  To be able to work the colors and patterns that she does is super creative!

The Real Deal – authenticity

Veshoevius from Taxonomy of My Wardrobe

Her blogging voice is distinct from the very first post you read from her and it doesn’t take long to really know what she’s all about.  I really didn’t realize it until we did this FBFF post on blogging events and before I even knew what she was going to write, I knew that something like 30×30 was not her thing and I was right.  Talk about really knowing a blogger!

Spark Notes – most helpful

Vahni from Grit and Glamour

I first discovered her way before FBFF when she was on IFB with her build a better vlog series.  Now she has an entire page dedicated to helping bloggers learn and do everything from taking their own pictures to the latest installment – Copyrights and Trademarks.  I know I’m not the only one who feels that they would be totally lost in blogging land without her gold mine of information!

Newbie – best blogger less than a year old

Linley from Dwelling and Telling

I had no clue that Linly started this blog just six months ago until I read her profile on Katy’s blog.  The photos look very professional and her personality definitely shows in her writing. And oh, her daily outfits are too cute!

Can You Hear Me Now – most connected

Collette from Statements in Fashion

I can always find her on Twitter and now she’s even created her own Fab Fashion Bloggers Weight loss group so she can engage in even more conversation.  She’s always accessible and a pleasure to exchange tweets with!

If I had a Hammer – best DIY

Michelle from Fierce Glamour

Though we are Shine Guru buddies, she recently started showcasing her DIY projects and they are really cool!  I wish I was that handy!

Tribe Leader – blogger who leads others and brings bloggers together

Katy from Modly Chic

This was a no brainer!  I joined FBFF when it was relatively small last summer and now it’s HUGE!  She truly knows how to bring bloggers together and she is the ultimate tribe leader!

Practically Perfect – most fashionable

Karen of Where did U Get That

I’ve been a long time follower of her blog – as a matter of fact, she was one of the very first fashion bloggers I started following and her outfits are AMAZING!  Her outfit posts are always a source of inspiration for me and her level of photography is something I aspire to!

Paint by Numbers – best beauty blogger

Vonnie from Socialite Dreams

We’ve been blogging buddies for awhile now but I didn’t know how awesome her skills were until her 28 Days of Black Beauty series!  Her re-creations of the most iconic African American women are so spot on, whether it’s on herself or a willing participant!

Renaissance Woman – best all around blogger, fashion, beauty

This is where I have to be honest – I couldn’t find the best all around anything!  There are too many awesome bloggers to just choose one so I will gracefully bow out of this nomination!

Have any bloggers you would nominate for these awards?  I would totally love to see your picks!

Thanks for the Tribe Leader nomination. It is truly amazing to me how much this group has taken off and grown in the last several months. In October there were 100 bloggers, now we are reaching 500. Astounding. Thanks for being part of that from the early days. – Katy
