Although I’m only 28 years old and still too young to get wrinkles, it always good to get a head start and ward them off as long as possible! With that said, the newest skin care products up on the Fierce chopping block is PHYTO-C Skin Care, a line of organic products created by natural product chemistry expert Dr. Mostafa Omar. I had the chance to review the line’s top-selling anti-aging products: Poly-Vitamin Gel, E in C Serum, and Bionic Serum. They each came in small, glass jars with a dropper top for application.
POLY-VITAMIN GEL – $64 (15 ml) $125 (30 ml)
This anti-aging gel is packed with Vitamin B3, Vitamin E, and Vitamin A, Green Tea Extract, and Zinc Sulfate, which aims to repair cell damage, rejuvenate your kin, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This clear gel had a very nice fragrance to it and went on smooth. It left my skin soft and no adverse affects to report! The only complaint I had with this one (and it also goes for the other two) is the bottle. I didn’t particularly like using a dropper to apply it. I think having it in a regular type of bottle would make it a little more user friendly. Other than that, I liked it and it became my favorite out of the three.
E IN C SERUM -$60 (15 ml)
This anti-ager aims to provide your skin protection against UV damage (which is really important to have during the summer) and boost up collagen production to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Unlike the gel, the serum had a very thin consistency, making the use of the dropper for application a little difficult. I also wasn’t crazy about the serum’s fragrance either. Though it left my skin soft and moisturized, I wasn’t too thrilled with it.
BIONIC SERUM-$64 (15 ml) $125 (30 ml)
This serum is geared towards those with oily and acne-prone skin types. This serum is meant to exfoliate, control oil, and prevent the appearance of new acne as well reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. This one proved to be my least favorite one. The fragrance is very strong and when I applied it, my face became slightly irritated, indicating that it’s way too strong for my skin. I could only test it out once because of that.
Have any of you ladies tried out these products? What are your thoughts?
