I first want to say thank you to my ladies who checked out my first two wedding recaps (hair and makeup). I’m still all smiles from my big day and I can’t stress enough how much fun my guests, my husband, and I had! It was definitely worth the year and a half of excitement, stress, and borderline breakdowns!
Without further a due, here we go with my dresses!
My Bridal Party
My bridesmaids and maid of honor wore pool blue dresses from David’s Bridal and their own silver sandals. This style was on its way out so my girls were able to get it at almost a steal! (was originally $155, went on clearance for $89). I loved the fact that they came at the knee in the front and had a little train in the back. The chiffon dresses where very light and airy, which was perfect for an outdoor wedding. My sister, the maid of honor, distinguished herself from the bunch by wearing straps on her dress and a different colored hair flower. My matron of honor rocked a one shoulder horizon blue gown from David’s Bridal (she saw it at the first bridal show we went to and she told me she had to have that dress!).
Story behind the dress: I didn’t even want to try on this dress when I went dress shopping at Alfred Angelo! The dresses I fell in love with online didn’t look good on me at all so I just randomly chose this one to be my third try-on of the day. I put it on and I knew that this was The Dress! But The Dress was out of The Budget so I left and continued shopping. A month later, Alfred Angelo had a huge sale and I was able to get it $300 off the retail price! The silver-beaded bodice fit like a glove, holding my “girls” in, accentuating my curves, and giving me enough glam for a daytime wedding. The bottom was big and packed with plenty of taffeta, with a semi-cathedral train that I was able to bustle up for the reception. My goal was to feel like an ultimate princess and ladies I surely did!
