Fierce Fragrance: Balenciaga Paris

Every woman wants to feel chic and sophisticated at one time of her life.  Being a lady who is inches away from thirty and working in a professional environment, sophistication is almost a requirement.  Not only do you look the part, you also want to smell the part, too and this new fragrance helps me do just this!

After 12 years, Nicolas Ghesquiere from the house of Balenciaga introduces his new fragrance Balenciaga Paris that aims to create a perfume with delicate mystery and capture the first moments of April. While I can smell Spring in the scent, I also smell sophistication.  After wearing it for a good two weeks to work, I found it to be the perfect perfume to compliment my office attire.  It’s not too flowery, and not drowning in musk.  Rather it’s a delicate balance of the two, representing that middle ground between the partying twenties and the grown-up forties (kind of like what your thirties are to me!).  Balenciaga Paris is very different from the fruity scents I sometimes use so its great to put this on to change up the pace.  The scent lasts all day and it’s rich, so you don’t need spray much of it on.  That’s something super important to me because if I’m going to spend a good amount of money on a fragrance (this one starts at $95 for a 1.7 oz bottle), it better last me awhile!

This perfume is sophistication in a cool, modern looking bottle – perfect for when I want to get my “grown woman” on!
