The In-Spiration for “In Bloom!” My Interview with Reese Witherspoon

Reese%201[1]We ladies know that along with looking good we have to smell good, which definitely explains the many smell good items I have displayed in my bedroom! With all the different scents we come to love and swear by, I know I sometimes wonder how the creator of my favorite smell-good came up with such an amazing perfume. Well, with the launch of Avon’s exclusive fragrance “In Bloom” I finally get the inside story – straight from the creator Ms. Reese Witherspoon herself!

I got the awesome opportunity to chat on the phone with Reese to find out what the inspiration was behind her new fragrance that she developed along with Avon. Her ideas for the perfume came from her childhood in Tennessee, where she remembers a big magnolia tree and the sweet smell of her mother’s Gardenia perfume. She also mentioned that she was always drawn to white flowers. So it was only natural that In Bloom’s floral notes include Star Gardenia, Magical Magnolias and Night Blooming Jasmine.

When it comes to the name itself, we fast forward into the present. When I asked her why she chose the name ‘In Bloom” for her fragrance, she told me that it “just felt like the right name”. She explained that it evoked the feeling of what was going on in her life right now, feeling confident in her work as well as in her personal life.

It was an absolute pleasure speaking with Reese Witherspoon and I want to thank her for taking the time to share this with me!

I just received my own bottle of this perfume so stayed tuned for the review!

Be beautiful ladies!

Please don’t insult out intelligence. Everyone knows that Reese Witherspoon didn’t create any perfume and will never wear it.
